A Simple And Easy Keto Dressing To Make
Many of us look forward to family and friend gatherings with delicious meals. But how you can make delicious Keto Dressing for any day of the week and stick to a keto diet can be challenging. I'm excited to share my Keto Dressing with you! It is a simple and easy Keto Dressing to make! This savory, flavorful dish is a perfect low-carb alternative to traditional stuffing and ensures you can enjoy the festive flavors and stay in Ketosis.
What Is Keto Dressing?
Keto Dressing swaps out high-carb bread or cornbread for blanched almond flour, making it a perfect option for those following a ketogenic diet. It's packed with the classic flavors of onions, celery, and mushrooms and seasoned with aromatic herbs. The result is a deliciously moist and satisfying side dish that fits seamlessly into your low-carb diet. Not only is Keto dressing good for the holidays, it is also suitable for any day or occasion.
Below is the simple and easy Keto Dressing Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups blanched almond flour
One medium onion, finely chopped
Three celery stalks, finely chopped
1 cup mushrooms, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup unsalted butter or ghee
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning (optional)
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 1/2 to 2 cups chicken stock (adjust for desired moistness)
2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or oil.
Sauté Vegetables: Melt butter or ghee over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the chopped onions, celery, and mushrooms. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 8-10 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute. If you prefer, you do not have to sauté the onions, celery, and mushrooms, but instead add them to the dressing mixture and let them bake and mingle with the dressing for better flavor.
Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, sautéed vegetables, dried sage, thyme, rosemary, dried parsley, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning (if using). Mix well to combine.
Add Liquid and Eggs: Pour in the chicken stock, starting with 1 1/2 cups, and stir until the mixture has a thick soupy consistency for a moist dressing. The mixture should be moist but not soggy. Stir in the beaten eggs until fully incorporated. If using, add the fresh parsley.
Bake: Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dressing is set.
Serve: Allow the dressing to cool for a few minutes before serving. Voila! Enjoy your keto dressing!
Tips for the Perfect Keto Dressing
Adjust Seasonings: Feel free to adjust the seasonings to suit your taste. You can add more herbs or spices to enhance the flavor. For better flavor and to enhance your keto diet with a healthy spice, it is nice to add turmeric to your dressing.
Moisture Level: Chicken stock can be adjusted based on how moist you like your dressing. Start with 1 1/2 cups and add more if needed.
Add-ins: Add some cooked sausage or bacon for extra flavor and protein.
